Phomolo has been in child protection for more than 2 decades and speaks on behalf of children everywhere. She represents REPSSI on the National Orphans and Vulnerable Children Coordination Committee. She also serves in a number of committees including Letsema Child Rights Network. Phomolo started her career as a trained math and science teacher, working her way up the ranks in various government roles. For many years, Phomolo was the Executive Director of the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and has also worked as the Director for Youth, Sports and Culture. She is the first director of the first children’s NGO Coalition on the Rights of the Child.
