Sibusisiwe Marunda

Sibusisiwe’s career has involved heading the Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe secretariat, where she coordinated the women’s movement, building to momentum for meaningful implementation of the gender responsive Zimbabwe Constitution. She started her working life as a history and language teacher. She then moved to the Parliament of Zimbabwe as Principal Committee Officer for 8 years. In this role she was responsible for procedural advice to legislators and facilitating civil society access to Parliament. Sibusisiwe then joined the Child Protection Society (CPS) where she worked as Advocacy Manager for 4 years where she led the campaign for a child’s right to a name and a nationality at birth. She also worked at the National AIDS Council (NAC) as the National orphans and vulnerable children Coordinator. Sibusisiwe holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Governance from Africa University. She is currently studying for a Bachelor of Law Degree with the University of South Africa. Her passion is in social justice and she expresses this passion by, among other things, writing opinion pieces for the Zimbabwe local print media. She has written on a variety of issues around women and children’s human rights.


JF Matenga

The Programmes Manager

JF Matenga spent a few years in the private sector as a sales manager before joining the NGO sector where he has now worked for 17 years. He has gained experience in project management, coordination and fieldwork in remote locations. His experience spans child protection, education, mainstreaming pschosocial support and basic MHPSS response in emergencies, care and support for vulnerable populations. JF Matenga has worked in different organizations including Save the Children Norway, Save the Children International, VVOB Zimbabwe (Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance) A Belgian non-profit organisation and the National AIDS Council. JF Matenga has a strong commitment to and understanding of beneficiary rights, the aims and principles of humanitarian standards such as the Sphere Charter and the Code of Conduct. In Education, his experience involves supporting capacity strengthening of school leaders and teachers on the provision of quality inclusive early education.


Dorica Mawarire

Finance and Administration Officer

Dorica has more than ten years’ experience in the finance and administration field, with vast knowledge of multi-donor accounting requirements, financial reporting, budget tracking, risk management, internal controls and internal auditing, and good external audit support. She holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Commmerce in Accounting. She is currently studying CIS.


Clever Ndanga

Project Coordinator

Clever is experienced in emergency response and sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) programming. He has demonstrable analytical skills, public speaking skills, management, project management, psychological First Aid and psychosocial support. Clever is a holder of a Master’s Degree in Development Studies, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Strategic Management, and a Diploma in NGO Management. He is currently studying towards a Master of Science Degree in Disaster Risk and Livelihood Management.
