Julio Mutemba

Country Director julio.mutemba@repssi.org

Julio joined REPSSI in 2006 as a Programmes Officer and was seconded to the International Child Development Programmes. In 2013 he became the Country Representative. Julio is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Cooperation and Development. He holds an Honour’s Degree in General Sociology, Diploma in Youth Social Work, Christian Leadership Training from Haggai Institute, USA. Julio has worked at the Scripture Union Movement, heading the Youth and Biblical Studies departments. He is a national director of Every Home for Christ, an evangelism ministry.


Silvio Macuane

Programme Manager

Mr Sílvio Paulo Macuane joined REPSSI Mozambique on 21 March 2022 as the Programme Manager.

Sílvio holds a degree in Biology and is a final year Master’s degree in Public Health student at the Eduardo Mondlane University. Sílvio embraced the activism in SRHR – Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in 2007, through the Geracção – Biz Program. He identifies himself with the struggle for human rights, gender equity, interest in the SRHR and he is an HIV & AIDS activist. In his career, Silvio has occupied different leadership positions in the SRHR field. He has worked with activists, peer-educators, key populations, communities and religious leaders, health providers and government institutions. He has worked as a Consultant for several adolescent and youth initiatives.


Pedro Mourinho

Projects Assistant

In 2019 Pedro joined REPSSI under the SDC, READY + and SKILLS 2 LIVE projects as a Project Assistant. Prior to joining REPSSI, In 2017, Pedro joined the ComuSanas Association working in the Monitoring department where he familiarized himself with the DHIS2 platform which he utilized to monitor 4 districts and 19 Health Units. In the same year under the same organisation, he worked on the Male Medical Circumcision project in partnership with Jhpiego as a data compiler and was promoted to district supervisor in Beira. In 2018 Pedro moved to Fhi360 in their CHASS Project in the Monitoring and Evaluation department, utilizing the SESP platform (Electronic Patient Tracking System) and supporting Health Units in single stops (CCR, CPN, PNCTL, SAAJ and CPN).


Judite Estevão Mutemba

Project Officer

Judite joined REPSSI in 2020 as Project Officer for the Hilton Foundation Project. Before joining REPSSI she was the Fieldwork Coordinator at the Mozambican Community Training Association; an Administrative Assistant at Martinho David Macuacua Despachante Aduaneiro (Customs Clearance office); and the Provincial Unilever Sales Supervisor at Tropigalia in Gaza. Currently, she is undergoing training in the early childhood development. Judite attained a qualification in Public Administration at the Joaquim Chissano University. She has a technical background in a Monitoring and Evaluation Course for Results-Oriented Projects.


Jackson Pedro

Project Officer

Jackson joined REPSSI in 2020. He graduated in Anthropology from Eduardo Modlane University. Early in his career, Jackson was involved in research assignments with different organisations. He later worked for an international NGO focusing on preventing gender-based violence (GBV), improving HIV outcomes, providing information on sexual and reproductive health, family planning and gender equality.


Argentina Simões Timba

National Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Argentina supports both implementation and management of projects. She also plays a critical role in fundraising and engagement with the media. She has a degree in Economics from Eduardo Mondlane University. Argentina is a social activist. She joined Associacão Progresso as a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant. She was promoted to Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, and later to Project Manager in the same organization.


Nelva Ngana

Member

Nelva started her professional career as a counsellor, offering psychosocial support to people living with HIV / AIDS and also facilitated various training courses for programmers, social action technicians and health professionals. She has also coordinated several projects related to HIV, including the economic empowerment of adolescents and young people. Nelva has experience as a fundraiser and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.


Bargio da Costa

Administration and Finance Officer

Bargio joined RESPSSI as Administration and Finance Officer in 2014. He has a degree in Accounting and Auditing, and is finalising his Master’s Degree in Finance. Bargio started his career in 2011 at a national NGO as an administration and finance assistant, where he also held the position of accountant.
